Today, I was researching for a project on "The Knights of the White Camellias"; curious about the associations between this extremist group I looked up the Ku Klux Klan. Finding a promising site, I clicked on the link and found the biggest load of bull I have ever seen. No, this was not Wikipedia or any fan site; this was the official site set up by one of their own members, "Pastor" Thomas Robb. I was both shocked and horrified to realize that this horrific cult was still ongoing and decided to research some more before judging the Klan, wanting to see if their values were any different from the famous ones held in the 1900s. They were different, yes, but equally disturbing; they are openly anti homosexuality and lesbianism, as well as posting complete propaganda that desperate white people may support if they have no place to go except to 'God'. A direct quote from a Reverend Heslip is as follows:
"Do I support hate? No! Do I support The Knights Party? Absolutely!"
From what I have read on that horrible website, they are one and the same. I appreciate all comments from all points of view; do tell me if I am being too judgmental, or perhaps not enough so.
